Mashal Khan's Murder and Pakistan's new generation

On my smart phone when I was scrolling my Facebook feed, I saw a video in which a bunch of people was beating a young man. He was half naked and probably dead by that time but the angry mob was so agitated that it kept hitting the dead body with sticks. There were also young spectators with their mobile phones filming the whole situation. Without diving in to details I assumed that may be its a street fight among young people but as I went through details of the video I got to realise this incident took place in a University and all the characters in the video are students. My heart sank in to deepest despair since I was seeing the youth of my country acting like street dogs. Even street dogs have some mercy that when they defeat their opponent they live the battle ground but here we see university "students" beating a student who held no weapons and with whom there were no companions. The height of cruelty is crossed, when he was dead even then they kept beating him to ease their evil souls.

This incident is being linked with Islam and the natural true colours of a Muslim but in fact this is not the case. A true Muslim who knows Islam and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) will never ever hurt any human or animal. At the event when Mecca was conquered, Prophet Muhammad (P.B.H.U) forgave his and Islam’s enemies. He even forgives the murderer of his uncle Hamza (A.S) who was brutally killed by Abu Sufiyan's wife Hinda. He ordered that old men, children, women should not be hurt or attacked. Those who went to their houses and do not wish to fight are also in peace. Even not a single tree should be harmed. This is our Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) the messenger of love and peace. I wonder why we are always ready to kill in his name and Islam? Islam teaches love and peace, it does not teach violence and killing people who do not agree with you.

This horrible incident reminds me of Sialkot where two brothers Munib and Mughees were killed in the same manner by an angry mob. But, Mashal Khan's (the murdered student) is of greater significance since his fellow University students commit his murder. Students all around the world are considered as a very sensitive, delicate and intellectual group of learners. If you want to see a country's possible future have a look at its students. Taking this in to context, if we analyse the students of Pakistan particularly the University students then the results are quite distressful.
The Pakistani government, media, madras’s, scholars, teachers hence every circle of the society should rethink their priorities that what we are teaching to our youth? What went wrong in Pakistan that caused such an intolerant society where killing is the only option to shut the mouth of your opponent?

Mashal Khan's brutal death is just a reminder to Pakistan's growing intolerant society where people are frustrated and becoming extremely intolerant. Its time to think and reverse the situation since its already very late.
