Computer science profession is not a hot cake !!

Doing a job related to your field of study is fun .. Like I studied computer sciences and got Job of an IT officer .. It's lucky and very enchanting since you are learning and experiencing new theories in job but the things goes worst when you are assigned something that is far off of your interest . In most organisations being all rounder is an exceptional thing . You are on safe site having job security but when you are an IT officer knowing programming and web only and you are assigned any other task like writing then it's like making sweet dish and adding salt.
Most people assumes that Information technology jobs are fun , they are easy since you only got to sit in front of your pc but in real , on ground ,computer tasks are not that hot cake. You have to be updated with new technologies , you have to be skilful enough to tackle organisations websites security , when there is a bug in computers hardware and software then you have to get enough time to think and sort out the appropriate solution . Other jobs are respectable but computer job is all depended on a computer and net connections , lots of planning , surfing on net , fixing bugs. As we all know that
Sometimes a computer behaves abnormally , a software corrupts , a database issue rises , data goes disappeared ,integration of software becomes flop , making backups of data ,It takes time and complete focus when a IT officer fixes the errors and get things done on the track .
We had a supervisor sir. Aamir Mehmod he was a very well versed database expert and had great programming knowledge , head of the IT department in BUITEMS ,during a class he narrated that during one of his projects he was stuck on a single line of code .(Note a code in computer science refers to the programming language in which the software / website is made . ) that line of code was correct by syntax but it was generating errors in the program. It took him one month continuously to solve the mystery of that line but all in vain . Later on he wrote an alternative code which fortunately goes well and he completed his application . The same thing happened to me while I was working on my school website in case of browser compatibility but I was not having that much time to solve it due to other engagements at job .
So managers , heads of national and multinational organisations , executives should understand the issues and troubles of an IT professional before comparing them to "normal " staff. Job of an IT professional is far off larger and tougher then ordinary 9 to 5 jobs .
Places who provide a space for an IT professional team and limit them to their own work only, can increase much more productivity from computer technology.
