Elections!! Not a Kid's Play
Well well people ! The passing days are drawing the elections nearer. The election campaign by seasonal politicians and parties are at top. You can see posters on the walls even on private property who cares if you just white washed your house.:((. Any ways the festivities which include decorating roads with flags and late night corner meetings are just underway.
Seeing all the parties and the independent candidates, their games i realised that elections is not a cup of tea for everyone.
Election is not eating meal or sleeping when ever you want. Election is also not a amusement activity to kill your boredom.
Election is a serious process. It's the the matter of those thousands of people whose luck will depend on your decisions.
This game of power to serve people
(Occasionally) is not possible within an over night thinking. It's a serious responsibility , please take it serious too.
Don't contest an election if you are doing so, just to be in lime light. There are several other ways to be recognised.
Don't contest elections if you just want to confront your opponents.
Don't contest elections if you have no proper home work, no political background.(I will explain in next paragraph, how to make one ? )
Please don't jump in to battle field of elections if you are doing it just for fun or thrill.
Now when to contest elections?
I guess when you are ripe enough between people and throughly know their problems. Secondly if you have concrete plans to solve them. Moreover you have to own the highest level of obligatory commitment to Pursue those plans.
If you want to contest elections you have to start preparing for it at least two years before. In politics even a life long experience goes in vain. Here if you decide to contest suddenly people will not accept you. In my constituency i see candidates whom i don't know. They are popping from each street with no significant preparation and we know this.
For preparing for elections you have to be social. Starting your campaign years before, you need to be with people, do it with Honest heart . Reach out to them when they are in trouble, be part of their happiness. Help people. Extent your hand to other organisations of having your mind set. Manage your media and be seen.
When you become part of the people , becoming their leader having clear plans to implement and a honest commitment then in elections days you will be proud and confident enough to ask for votes.
You can code your services, your reputation then people will at least think about you , consider you instead of wondering " who are they ? Eh.. I have never seen them before in my constituency .."
Finally I wish all the candidates best of luck. Even those who are there to "play" only.
