Women's Day - The day of Recognition
8th March is the day when world celebrates the women 's Day.
Woman whose a mother, a sister , a wife, a worker, a boss , a politician, a soldier fighting on the border and flying the f-16.
Woman is the second name of multitasking. She is a caring mother to her children, sacrificing herself to educate them.she spends nights awake when her children are not feeling well but at the same time she is the lady of the house running the whole system of a universe ,the home. She is a loving wife comforting her life partner to conquer the world , to shine and rise.That's why they say behind every successful man there is a woman. That woman can be her mother , her sister and her daughter too. It's all about a comforting stand , the courageous source of motivation.A woman is a caring sister too. She is the pulse of the house. The adviser, a helping hand to her mother.Iqbal said that the women are the colors of this universe. I agree without women this universe would be so pale and unbalanced .
Women's significance is so much dynamic that its out of the range of my expression . Should I dedicate this note to those rural women who works in fields with men to contribute in family's earning ? Or to the working women of fast city life who have to be best both at home and work place?
Beside all sacrifices and important role of women in society we still see that they are not recognised . They are victims of domestic violence, they are harassed. There beautiful faces are distorted with acid. Sharmeen Obaid's "saving face " documentary pointed out towards female acid violence victims. It's an eye opener for knowing the suffering those women have to deal with after getting a distorted face.Increasing rape incidents all around the world is a major security threat to women. This type of discriminating acts against women shows that the world is still in process of recognising the significance of women 's role. They are thought to be weak. Moreover in so called globalisation they are made a commercial commodity.
Today's women asks for equality instead of recognition. Equality in men's society is unattainable. They are the protectors, the basic foundation of a family. A woman can't be equal to man. Both needs each other. Men should lead and women should assist,she should keep his house in order.In return women should be protected, respected , loved and above all recognised. Even in holy Quran its said that women are formed from man's rips.
It have a message which needs to be interpreted. As I understand its said that men and women are linked to each other.The universe will run well if they both play their roles. Women's role is best defined in Islam . It gives the complete logical setup of women's place in society.
At last i feel the need to remember those women who played major roles in building nations and the Homes. They can be anyone , even the maid working in your house is contributing. I pay salutations and respect to all known and unknown contributing ladies .
